The Collegiate 100 Black Men was formed in the vision of its parent chapter, The 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee(located in Nashville) in the Fall of 1995. The purpose of the Collegiate 100 is to bridge the gap between the 100 Black men and the children they mentor. The Middle Tennessee Chapter is overseen by the national organization, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. The MTSU Chapter is the first Collegiate-level chapter ever, known as the "Alpha" Chapter. The chapter was recently rechartered in Spring of 2006 and had its first class of new members in Fall of 2006. "Our mission is to nurture and enhance the growth, development, and opportunities for young, Black males of Middle Tennessee.
